Bariatric Surgeons
Dr. Brad Bilton
 Dr. Bilton has over 16 years of general surgery experience since his graduation from LSU’s School of Medicine in 1994. For the past 10 years Dr. Bilton has been involved with advanced laparoscopic surgery and has been performing bariatric surgery since 2004.
Dr. Jim Corder
 Dr. Corder is a native of north Alabama and trained in General Surgery at the former Carraway Hospital. He also received additional advanced laparoscopic and bariatric training in Baton Rouge, LA. and has been working closely with Dr. Bilton since July 2007.

 Our staff takes pride in offering the very best patient care from the minute you walk into our office or call us. We are dedicated to making your journey to weight loss as simple and uncomplicated as possible and the people you’ll meet below are here to do just that.
Beverly: Bariatric Coordinator / LPN
 Beverly, nurse and bariatric coordinator, has over 6 years experience in bariatrics and has assisted over 1000 patients interested in weight loss surgery during that time. This is above and beyond the patients that are seen for other surgical problems. As the lead contact throughout the bariatric process, Beverly ensures that each and every patient receives the proper care with as little wait time as possible. From insurance to consults and post operative visits and adjustments, Beverly coordinates an effective plan aimed at maximum success.
Wendy: Insurance / Billing Coordinator
Many insurance plans now cover most bariatric procedures. Should you have any concerns about your insurance coverage or if you need special payment arrangements, Wendy will be happy to assist you. With education and training in medical billing and insurance coordination, Wendy has the knowledge and experience to ensure accurate and efficient insurance billing. Should you need any help verifying your benefits, please contact our office.
Annette: Accounts Manager
Annette will work with you to ensure your needs are met and the administrative part of the surgical process is on track. With over 20 years of experience in a surgical environment, Annette is a helpful guide through what would otherwise be a daunting process. Annette will facilitate your bariatric paperwork as well as make sure that all requirements for surgery are met.

Hospital Affiliations
Our practice is affiliated with the DCH Regional Medical Center and Tuscaloosa Surgical Center in Tuscaloosa, AL. The DCH Health System is widely recognized as one of the most comprehensive and advanced medical systems in the region and the Surgical Center is a state of the art outpatient surgical facility. DCH is one of very few hospitals throughout the country that has remained under local ownership and leadership for more than 75 years. The DCH Health System is continually evolving to ensure the maximum care for patients in West Alabama and is a not-for-profit organization.
DCH Regional Medical Center is the flagship of the DCH system. At 583 beds the Regional Medical Center offers a variety of specialty units and advanced services, including cancer, cardiology, robotic and minimally invasive surgery, and an advanced trauma center. It also has several area hospital that operate under the auspices of the DCH system.
